An update from SOTO NZ president, Dr. Rosina Walker (B.Chiro)- May 2025

Almost half way through 2025, and it seems to have gone in a blink of an eye. We have had 2 great seminars this year, our Categories & C.M.R.T. seminars. Both were awesome, even thought we only had a few people attend these hands-on seminars. We are looking to hold a Regional Workshop in Auckland prior to Cranials on the 27th July, so keep an eye out for further emails and SM posts about dates & locations. This is an excellent time to improve on the skills you have learned in your previous seminars. 2.5hours of your time on a Friday evening in Auckland, although we can & will hold more Regional Workshops around the country if the demand is there. Let us know if you are interested in holding a workshop in your office.


Our AGM  is to be held via Zoom this year, on Tuesday May 27th. Please register to attend. We are wanting as many people as possible to join us to help develop & grow SOTO NZ in the coming years. See you online soon!

  • SOT Basic Exam 2025

    Basic Certification involves knowledge of Categories I, II and III of the S.O.T Manual and Seminar Series Session. On passing, the candidate may be invited to assist on the Table Education Team in Categories Sessions of the SOTO NZ Basic Seminar Series. 

    Basic certification may be undertaken after:

    - one year in practice

    -Sixty-four(64)hours of S.O.T study run by SOTONZ or its sister organisations around the world. (Full series consists of Categories, CMRT and Cranial) 

    The exam will be held at NZCC.

SOT has been an active technique in Aotearoa New Zealand since 1945 (that we know of!).

There are chiropractors all around the motu that use blocks, adjust the cranial system, have been to seminars here or internationally, are SOT certified, teach SOT, love SOT, use it occasionally, or use it all the time.

Dates for the 2024 SOT examinations will be confirmed shortly.

We hold certification exams every year. These are internationally recognised qualifications and demonstrate your proficiency in Sacro-Occipital Tecnique, and are a great way for fellow SOT practitioners to know where to refer transferring clients.
